Chemical peel
What is a chemical peel?
Chemical peels stimulate tissue remodeling through the application of exfoliating agents with different active ingredients. It is one of the most widely used treatments in aesthetic medicine to promote the growth of a new layer of skin that is smoother, softer and fresher thanks to cellular renewal.

A superficial, medium or deep peel can be applied depending on the concentration and pH level used in the formulations, which will be determined by the treating physician according to the patient’s characteristics and needs.
What is it for?
The use of these products triggers an intense cellular renewal process by normalizing skin pigmentation, reducing marks and minimizing wrinkles.
Chemical peels are classified into three types: superficial, medium and deep.
- A superficial peel works on the epidermis. It is recommended for cases of acne, mild photoaging, certain skin inflammations, fine lines and melasma.
- A medium peel works on the papillary dermis. It has the same indications as a superficial peel and is also recommended for epidermal lesions.
- A deep peel works on the reticular dermis. It is recommended for cases of epidermal lesions, imperfections, scars, moderate wrinkles, keratosis, melasma and lentigines.
